- Network: 946.94 Mbps download and 940.49 Mbps upload in the speed test, about 95 ms RDP latency via ExitLag Singapore06 and about 238.3 ms Parsec latency from Pakistan.
Key takeaway: this Minecraft RTX 5060 benchmark shows very high FPS in lightweight vanilla scenes and clearly lower FPS with shaders and extended terrain. All figures are captured readings, not controlled averages, so read them as a practical snapshot of RTX 5060 Minecraft performance.
How We Ran the RTX 5060 Minecraft Test
This Minecraft testing assesses real-world gameplay on an RTX 5060 Game Dedicated Server, from the perspective of a Minecraft player and gaming content creator.
The server was accessed through its provided Windows environment with no extra operating-system tuning. We evaluated vanilla Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 and a modded Java Edition 1.20.1 setup with Fabric, Sodium, Iris Shaders, Distant Horizons and supporting mods. This RTX 5060 Minecraft minecraft benchmark covers five scenarios.
Server Configuration
| Component | Specification |
|---|---|
| Provider | GameServer Mart |
| GPU | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, dedicated, 8 GB VRAM |
| CPU | Intel Xeon Platinum 8160 @ 2.10 GHz, 24 cores / 48 logical processors |
| RAM | 64 GB |
| Storage | 120 GB SSD + 960 GB SSD |
| Operating system | Windows |
| Bandwidth | 1 Gbps |
| Game | Minecraft Java Edition |
| Remote access | Parsec and Remote Desktop (RDP) |
Monitoring Tools
Minecraft performance overlay, Windows Task Manager, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS), Kryptex, Parsec monitoring, Speedtest and screenshots of every RTX 5060 Minecraft scenario. The overlay and Task Manager can differ slightly because they sample differently.
Test 1: Vanilla RTX 5060 Minecraft Gameplay (Java 26.3)
This is the baseline for RTX 5060 Minecraft performance: no mods, no shaders, 1920 × 1080, 16-chunk render distance, 16-chunk simulation distance, Fancy graphics, VSync off, unlimited frame rate.
Four gameplay screenshots showed 723, 785, 804 and 805 FPS. A capture with the Video Settings menu open showed about 466 FPS. These are individual readings, not a timed average, so Minecraft RTX 5060 results vary with terrain, camera direction and chunk generation.
| Capture | Frame time | GPU temp | GPU util. | GPU memory | CPU util. | RAM |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vanilla capture (723 FPS) | 1.8 ms | 82°C | 38% | 1,445 MB | 1% | 12,257 MB |
| Settings-menu capture (466 FPS) | 2.1 ms | 74°C | 43% | 1,541 MB | 1% | 12,366 MB |
GPU temperatures in vanilla captures ranged from about 70°C to 83°C. One screenshot cannot show long-term thermal behavior, so monitor temperatures in longer RTX 5060 Minecraft sessions.
Test 2: RTX 5060 Minecraft Maximum-FPS Test
This Minecraft benchmark minimizes rendering work: superflat world, mostly empty view, reduced render distance, smaller window, VSync off, unlimited frame rate. The goal was the highest instantaneous FPS the Minecraft RTX 5060 setup can produce.
| Metric | Observed result |
|---|---|
| Instantaneous FPS | 1,248 FPS |
| Frame time | 0.7 ms |
| GPU temperature / utilization | 64°C / 16% |
| GPU memory | 1,523 MB |
| CPU temperature / utilization | 52°C / 2% |
| RAM | 12,649 MB |
The RTX 5060 Minecraft peak of 1,248 FPS is about 55% higher than the best standard vanilla capture (805 FPS). It is an instantaneous reading under favorable conditions, not typical or guaranteed gameplay. At 16% GPU utilization, CPU-side processing also influences the ceiling.
CPU, Memory and GPU Use During RTX 5060 Minecraft Gameplay
CPU
The Intel Xeon Platinum 8160 showed about 4% overall CPU utilization in Task Manager at roughly 3.16 GHz (about 1% in the overlay at 805 FPS). Low overall use does not prove unlimited headroom, since Minecraft leans on single-thread performance during world generation and chunk loading.
Memory
Task Manager showed about 12.1 GB of 63.7 GB usable RAM in use (about 19%), leaving about 51.6 GB free for OBS Studio, Discord, browsers and launchers next to your Minecraft RTX 5060 session.
GPU and VRAM
In an 804 FPS vanilla capture, Task Manager reported 27% GPU utilization at 70°C and the overlay 26% at 72°C. Dedicated VRAM use was 1.2 GB of 8 GB (about 15%), leaving roughly 6.8 GB free. In this Minecraft RTX 5060 baseline the GPU was not saturated.
| Workload | GPU memory | System RAM |
|---|---|---|
| Vanilla | 1.2–1.5 GB | 12–13 GB |
| Shaders (Complementary Reimagined High) | about 2.1 GB (overlay), 1.8 GB (Task Manager) | about 14.6–14.9 GB |
| Distant Horizons | about 1.8 GB (Task Manager) | about 14.9–15.2 GB |
Actual RTX 5060 Minecraft memory needs grow with resolution, shaders, resource packs and larger modpacks.
Test 3: World and Chunk Loading on RTX 5060 Minecraft
World loading is part of RTX 5060 Minecraft server hosting and gameplay. We captured the "Loading terrain..." screen at about 40% progress.
| Metric | Observed reading |
|---|---|
| FPS / frame time | 58 FPS / 15.5 ms |
| GPU temperature / utilization | 59°C / 7% |
| GPU memory | 1,646 MB |
| CPU temperature / utilization | 55°C / 14% |
| RAM | 12,971 MB |
Low GPU utilization suggests world initialization is mostly CPU-side and data-loading work. This is a loading-state snapshot, not normal gameplay, and total loading time was not measured, so we make no loading-duration claim for this RTX 5060 Minecraft test.
Test 4: RTX 5060 Minecraft With Complementary Reimagined Shaders
For a more demanding Minecraft RTX 5060 workload we used Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 with Fabric, Sodium and Iris Shaders, running Complementary Reimagined on the High preset at 1920 × 1080. The scene overlooks a village, river and wide terrain with enhanced lighting, shadows, water and atmospheric effects.
| Metric | Minecraft overlay | Task Manager |
|---|---|---|
| FPS / frame time | 111 FPS / 7.6 ms | n/a |
| GPU utilization | 43% | 45% |
| GPU temperature | 81°C | 83°C |
| GPU memory | 2,104 MB | 1.8 / 8.0 GB dedicated |
| CPU utilization | 36% | 8% overall |
| CPU temperature / speed | 64°C | 3.13 GHz |
| RAM | 14,911 MB | 14.6 / 63.7 GB |
At 111 FPS and 43–45% GPU utilization, the RTX 5060 Minecraft setup handled shader gameplay well, with the GPU at 81–83°C. Other presets, resolutions, resource packs and busier worlds will change the Minecraft RTX 5060 result, and longer sessions are needed to confirm sustained temperatures.
Test 5: RTX 5060 Minecraft With Distant Horizons Extended Terrain
On this RTX 5060 Minecraft setup, Distant Horizons uses Level of Detail (LOD) terrain to show forests, mountains, rivers and hills far beyond normal render distance. That extra work is why this RTX 5060 Minecraft test is evaluated separately.
| Metric | Minecraft overlay | Task Manager |
|---|---|---|
| FPS / frame time | 48 FPS / 18.4 ms | n/a |
| GPU utilization | 20% | 16% |
| GPU temperature | 69°C | 69°C |
| GPU memory | 2,132 MB | 1.8 / 8.0 GB dedicated |
| CPU utilization | 65% | 89% overall |
| CPU temperature / speed | 69°C | 2.79 GHz |
| RAM | 15,228 MB | 14.9 / 63.7 GB |
| Disk activity | n/a | 27% |
GPU utilization was only 16–20% while CPU utilization was high, which suggests CPU-side work such as terrain processing, chunk handling and LOD preparation may contribute to the lower frame rate. One capture cannot prove the exact bottleneck. Distant Horizons' LOD distance is separate from render distance, so record both when comparing Minecraft RTX 5060 results.
RTX 5060 Minecraft Benchmark Comparison
Scenes and settings differ, so these results are not like-for-like.
| Workload | FPS | Main observation |
|---|---|---|
| Vanilla Minecraft 26.3 | about 723–805 | Very high frame rates in lightweight scenes |
| Maximum-FPS experiment | 1,248 | Deliberately minimized rendering workload |
| World / terrain loading | 58 | Captured during loading |
| Shader-enhanced 1.20.1 | 111 | Higher graphical workload, 43–45% GPU |
| Distant Horizons / extended terrain | 48 | High CPU utilization in the captured scene |
The lesson from this RTX 5060 Minecraft test: very high FPS in a simple vanilla scene does not predict shader, extended-terrain or loading performance. Judge Minecraft RTX 5060 performance across several scenarios, not one peak number.
Network Performance on the RTX 5060 Minecraft Server
Network testing ran remotely from Pakistan through the server's Windows environment. ExitLag's Automatic selection chose Singapore06 for the RDP connection. ExitLag was used for network testing and remote access only; Minecraft itself does not require it.
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Testing location | Pakistan |
| Connection method / routing | Remote Desktop (RDP) via ExitLag Automatic |
| Selected ExitLag server | Singapore06 |
| Protocol | TCP |
| Measured RDP latency | about 95 ms (previous US Ashburn05 route: about 203 ms) |
| Speed test | Result |
|---|---|
| Download | 946.94 Mbps |
| Upload | 940.49 Mbps |
| Idle ping | 1 ms |
| Download / upload latency | 2 ms / 16 ms |
| Speed-test server | Nocix, Kansas City, Missouri |
Near-gigabit throughput helps RTX 5060 Minecraft players download games and mods, move recordings and upload creator assets, and matters for Minecraft server hosting. The 1 ms idle ping belongs to the speed-test endpoint, not the Pakistan-to-server path. Bandwidth is not latency, and RDP latency is not Minecraft in-game ping.
Parsec Remote Gaming With RTX 5060 Minecraft
For RTX 5060 Minecraft remote play, Parsec is built for interactive access and suits using a Game Dedicated Server as a remote gaming and content-creation workstation. In the recorded session from Pakistan, Parsec displayed about 238.3 ms connection latency.
| Parsec session reading | Observed value |
|---|---|
| GPU temperature / utilization | 74°C / 47% |
| GPU memory | 1,550 MB |
| CPU temperature / utilization | 47°C / 4% |
| System RAM | 12,659 MB |
| Displayed rendering | about 25 FPS / 94.8 ms frame time |
At this latency, precise mouse movement and fast-paced play may feel delayed. The 25 FPS reading describes the remote session, not standalone RTX 5060 Minecraft performance, and Parsec latency is not multiplayer ping. Users closer to the server may see a more responsive experience.
| Connection method | Measured result | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| RDP + ExitLag Automatic | 95 ms | Remote desktop access |
| Parsec | 238.3 ms | Remote gaming and visual streaming |
| Speed test | 946.94 / 940.49 Mbps | Available bandwidth |
These come from separate tests and network paths and are not equivalent latency figures.

Measurement Notes for This Minecraft Testing
- RTX 5060 Minecraft FPS values come from selected screenshots, not formal averages, 1% lows or full-session logs.
- The vanilla, maximum-FPS, shader, Distant Horizons and loading tests use different workloads; read them separately.
- Temperature, utilization and memory readings reflect captured moments and vary with scene, settings and session length.
- No verified TNT stress-test result or total world-loading duration is included.
- Repeatable averages, minimum FPS, sustained thermals and a definitive CPU/GPU bottleneck need further standardized runs.
For a fair RTX 5060 Minecraft comparison, fix resolution, render and simulation distance, world, camera position, shader preset, LOD distance and frame-rate limit.
Verdict: Is the RTX 5060 Minecraft Server Worth It?
This minecraft server test shows the RTX 5060 Minecraft server delivering very high frame rates in lightweight vanilla Minecraft, 111 FPS with Complementary Reimagined High shaders, and 48 FPS in a heavy Distant Horizons scene where CPU load climbed. VRAM stayed around 1.2–2.1 GB of 8 GB and system RAM around 12–15 GB of 64 GB.
Who the RTX 5060 Minecraft Server Fits
- Vanilla players: the RTX 5060 Minecraft results leave large headroom at 1080p.
- Shader fans: Minecraft RTX 5060 shader play at 111 FPS is a solid reference point, with temperatures worth monitoring.
- Modded and Distant Horizons users: expect CPU-side processing to matter, so record render distance and LOD distance.
- Creators: 64 GB of RAM leaves room for OBS Studio, Discord, browsers and editing tools alongside the game.
Overall, this RTX 5060 Minecraft configuration is a practical foundation for Minecraft server hosting, shader play and content creation. Results depend on settings, mods, routing and your location.
